How to Use Domain with Blogger
Blogger is the most preferred blog publishing platform with zero investment by youngsters and newbies. Blogger does not allow to host BlogSpot Blog on any other server , but it allow custom domain name (www.domain.com)  instead of just domain names with blogspot.com (domain.blogspot.com ) . For custom domain , you need to register a domain name and map it to your blog on “Blogger” .

Steps to Use your domain from GetSetLive to Blogger :

We assume you already have a custom domain name , if not you can register one here .
Now you have to login into your Blogger Account and click on the Blog Name that you want to setup with your custom domain name .

 

Click on Settings on left hand side and under settings click on Basic .

Under Publishing ,click on +Set up third-party URL for your blog .

Enter domain name in textbox and click on Save .

Once you will click on Save, you will see an Error like “We have not been able to verify your authority to this domain. Error 12.” and then you will get the CNAME record ( shown in above screenshot )that you need to use in next step […]

EPP/Authorization Code : Codes that are needed to initiate the transfer process are called as secret code, EPP code or authorization code.This code is provided by your old registrar, and required by your new registrar to complete a domain transfer process. You must contact the old registrar to get it.

Steps to Get EPP or Authorization Code of Domain Name :

1.  Log in to your GetSetLive Manage Account .

 

2.  Click on Domains >> My Domains

 

3.  Click on Active in front of Domain you want to edit .

 

4.  Click on “Get EPP Code” in left menu .

 

5.  EPP code will be display .

 

6.  You can use this “EPP Code” .

Theft Protection : Theft Protection will lock your domain to prevent it from being transferred away without your authorization .

Steps to Enable or Disable Theft Protection of Domain Name :

1. Log in to your GetSetLive Manage Account .

 

2.  Click on Domains >> My Domains .

 

3.  Click on “Active” in front of Domain you want to edit .

 

4.  Click on “Registrar Lock” in left menu .

 

5.  Click on “Enable Registrar Lock” if you want to enable Theft Protection .

 

6.  Click on “Disable Registrar Lock” if you want to disable Theft Protection .

How to Update Nameservers of Domain Name
Nameserver : Nameserver is a specialized server on the Internet that handles queries or questions from your local computer, about the location of a domain name’s various services.In simple words we can say , in order to find your website on internet you have to set the DNS records of your domain name. You can either use GetSetLive Name servers or Third Party records.

In order to update nameservers of your domain name , this modification needs to be made at your domain Registrar where the domain name is registered at.

Steps to Update Nameservers of Domain Name :

1.  Log in to your GetSetLive Manage Account .

2.  Click on Domains >> My Domains in top menu .

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. Click on “Active” in front of Domain you want to edit .

4.  Click on “Nameservers” in left menu .

 

5.  Here you will get the two options either use default name servers(GetSetLive NS) or custom Nameservers .

6.  Enter the nameservers you want to update by selecting custom Nameservers .

7.  Click on “Change Nameservers” .
